First race of the season. I decided to try and hang with the fast group, which caused me to blow up and I ended up not being able to hang with the slow group. Lesson learned. But I ended up 10th out of 12 that finished and I believe 16 entered. The ones who dropped was due to the really high wind and rain/sleet in the last ten miles.

First Race of the season tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn’t can’t cancelled since the weather is supposed to be mid 40’s with a 30% chance of rain. It won’t be my coldest race, but still cold. Time to see how I am stacking up so far in my fist full season of racing.

Work
I work in a bike shop and today a customer recognized my name from Strava and had this unknown rivalry with me on one of the local climbs. Apparently he recently beat me on Strava. Challenge Accepted!

Nothin like riding 86.66 miles with almost 7000 feet of climbing with a strong wind and getting done in under 6 hours. I will get better.

What to do for lifting
Quickly, what should my new lifting program be for 2012. I am going to start lifting again and I’m not sure what I should do this time. What do you recommend?

Question
Here’s a question for everyone. I have a wife who is pregnant and is due in June. YAY! I have went back to school to get another degree because I haven’t had luck finding a job. I just got a job offer for a decent amount of money, but if I stick with college I will probably get a job paying 1.5 times as much. Now what do you all think I should do?

Mountain Biking
Went mountain biking on HLMP and I saw snow. I also ended up wrecking at about 25 mph on a down hill section and slid for quite aways.

A loss
So on my ride today my hear rate monitor had a couple of errors so I measured myself today. I’ve lost on average two inches in my upper body and about half an inch on my lower body. Upper body being from waist up and lower body being from my hips down.
